Jean Kelleher lives in the Hampden Heights section of Reading with
her husband. She is the mother of three adult children and grandmother of two.
Mrs. Kelleher started her career at Godiva Chocolatier, Inc., a local manufacturing
plant, as a packer and then moved into the office starting in accounting and ending
in human resources. After 12 years at Godiva, she left her position to operate her
own business while raising her children.
Mrs. Kelleher entered the education world in
the late 1990s as a teacher of Family and Consumer Sciences at several local
school districts before moving to her current position at the Pennsylvania Department of
Mrs. Kelleher earned her bachelor’s degree from Alvernia University and her
teaching certification from Immaculata University. She is currently finishing
her education at Temple University, where she will earn her master’s degree in
Education and her Director’s certificate in Career and Technical Education.
