This summer, the Reading Recreation Commission will open up fire hydrants throughout the city and turn them into mini-spray parks for kids to enjoy.

Beat the heat beginning on June 22, 2022 from 1-4 PM at the first location: 3rd & Spruce Recreation Center!

Special thanks to the Reading Area Water Authority, Reading Police Department, Reading Fire Department, Reading Public Works, Mayor’s Office, Helping Harvest and everyone else who helps to make Wacky Water Wednesday an awesome event for our community! 

Beginning Monday June 13, 2022 through Friday, August 5, 2022, we will be closed Fridays. 

We will remain open to the public Monday through Thursday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM only.
