Vision Services

The Reading School District has launched a pilot program in partnership with Vision to Learn to provide eye care and glasses to students at no cost to families.

Your child will be pre-screened by their school nurse. Should this pre-screening show that your child is having trouble seeing, they will be referred to the Vision to Learn doctors to be re-screened. During this re-screening, your child will select a free pair of glasses. Questions regarding this program can be forwarded to your school nurse.

If your child has an unused Medicaid benefit, Vision to Learn may receive reimbursement through Medicaid.  Therefore, if your child is under the care of a local vision provider or have plans to be seen by a vision provider in the near future, they should opt-out of Vision to Learn services.
